If you find that you need to replace batteries, unfasten collar from your dog. Then flip collar over and locate battery on underside. Insert coin along slot and twist counter-clockwise to the unlock position. Battery should pop out with a small tug. Insert replacement battery and use coin to twist in clockwise locked position.
